Following graduate school in journalism at Northwestern University, Kevin began a career as a writer, first in newspapers before moving into magazines. He came to Charlotte in 1998 where his wife-to-be Lee Ann Cox was a senior editor for EatingWell magazine. He edited The View, a weekly on-line publication of the University of Vermont which, under his direction, won a national award for staff writing in 2003. His wife, Lee Ann, and their children, Bay and Tess, survive Kevin. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Society in Burlington on December 5 at 4 p.m. The family asks that those wishing to make donations in his name do so to Partners in Health, an organization working for basic healthcare among the world’s poorest nations.
