Trail Work Day on Pease Mountain

Trails Committee members participated in a trails work day on Pease Mountain on May 22. The work party included recently appointed members Tim McCullough, co-chair John Limanek, David Ziegelman, Richard Mann, Laurie Thompson, Carol Clay and Brooke Scatchard and co-chair Margaret Russell.
The work day involved marking the trails to make it easier tonavigate the trail system. New arrow markers of different colors show the main trail, two loop trails and two spur trails that have fabulous views. Carol Clay and Margaret Russell are currently working with the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission on a trailhead sign that will include a map of the entire trail system. The sign will also include information about the geological formations, the flora and fauna, and the history of Pease Mountain.
